The Student Council is an elected body whose members represent the interests of the students, and work very closely with those administering the academic programs and the campus facilities. The Student Council ensures the smooth functioning of each of the students’ life inside and outside the campus. The success, wellness, and professional engagement of the students are the metrics on which the Student Council works.
Being the elected student body, we voice the students’ opinions, concerns, and feedback to the management and act as a liaison between the students and the management, We also work on managing, funding, and supporting all the Clubs and Committees to ensure the active student presence in various aspects of the campus-related activities. The learning curve for the students in leading these aspects, organizing the related activities, and maintaining the etiquette, is exponential. This has been proven by the students’ success in various inter-collegiate events. As a protector of the Honor Code of the University, we have been successful in sustaining the collaborative and professional relationships among the students. We hope that this relationship stays for a lifetime.
In addition, students have their committees and clubs. The committees deal with program-related issues like placement, alumni relations, skill development, etc. while the clubs manage the sports and recreation activities. These committees and clubs provide opportunities for students to align the use of campus resources, and their own time, for constructive engagement. They have domain-specific interests and expertise, and through the Student Council, they influence the agenda and priorities of the administration – both academic and campus.
