The Kreas Basketball League 2023 showcased an incredible array of talent, dedication, and enthusiasm from the Kreaites community, highlighting their deep passion for the sport. Spanning from 17 November, 2023 to 9 December, 2023, the league culminated in an electrifying finale where Shaurya’s Shaq’s Peen emerged victorious over Tejas’s Ball Busters with a nail-biting score of 53-52. Heartiest congratulations to all the triumphant teams for their remarkable achievement!
One of SIAS’s most anticipated sports events, the SIAS Football league is back. The ongoing edition that started in October, has attracted the largest number of footballers the league has ever seen. The zest and fervor of Krea footballers has brought us some of the most exciting matches we have seen, but only more is to come , so stay tuned.
The SIAS Sports club in collaboration with the IFMR Sports Club kicked off this academic year with Azadi Yatra 22, in commemoration of 77 years of our independence.
Together, the collective efforts of students, management faculty and all others who participated transformed Azadi Yatra 22 into a spectacular celebration of freedom, fitness, and the vibrant spirit of academic camaraderie.
The SIAS’s basketball team, Snowmen, displayed their amazing teamwork and competitive spirit, and had a well-deserved victory at 88-59 against the IFMR team, Reindeers, at the annual Christmas-friendly basketball match. After the match ended, the team players shook hands with each other as an act of sportsmanship and took group pictures.
The SIAS Sports Club conducted a bench press event where students across batches came together to break their bench press personal records (PRs) and set new ones in the process. Within those 2 hours a lot of PRs were broken, and a lot of socialization happened and this helped us foster that sense of community we have been looking for.
