Azam Danish is pursuing his PhD in History and is interested in the history of mapping technologies in the 20th century. Previously, he has worked on issues related to environmental governance, environmental education and climate history. His research interests include history of science and technology, cartographic history, forest governance and political ecology of commons.

Azam is a cinema enthusiast who finds political thrillers and criminal procedurals intriguing. He is interested in birdwatching, storytelling and documenting surveillance technologies in university spaces. He is a passionate cook, and enjoys discovering new culinary recipes, inside and outside of kitchen.
