SIAS welcomed 144 students as part of the incoming cohort of 2023. Nobel Laureate for Economic Sciences in 2019, and co-founder of J-PAL, Dr Esther Duflo was the guest of honour at the orientation inauguration. In her keynote address she shared three guiding principles for the students, for their time at Krea and beyond. She encouraged students to embrace diversity, be flexible and not be overwhelmed with problems.
