Anu Aga

Anu Aga is an Indian businesswoman and social worker, and the Director of Thermax Limited. She was awarded the Mumbai Women of the Decade Achievers Award by ALL Ladies League, the all ladies wing of ASSOCHAM. In 2010, she was awarded the Padma Shri for Social Work by the Government of India. She is currently the Chairperson of Teach for India. She was nominated to Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of the Indian Parliament on 26 April 2012, by the President Pratibha Patil. Anu Aga has been very active in various national and local associations like the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), and has served as the Chairperson of CII’s Western Region. She has written extensively and given talks on the subjects of corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, the role of women and education.

She graduated with a BA in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and did her post-graduation in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work at the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. She has also been a Fulbright Scholar.
