Cyril Shroff is the Managing Partner of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Cyril has been regarded and consistently rated as India’s top corporate, banking and project finance lawyer by several international surveys. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Study of the Legal Profession established by the Harvard Law School, a member of the Advisory Board of the National Institute of Securities Markets and on the Board of IIM, Trichy. He is an advisory member of the Finance Planning Standards Board of India (FPSB India) and Macquarie. He is a member of the Media Legal Defence Initiative (MLDI) International Advisory Board. He is also part of various committees of the Confederation of Indian Industry – the National Council on Corporate Governance, the National Committee on Capital Markets, Private Equity & Venture Capital, Commodities Markets, Financial Investors and Regulatory Affairs. He has been the Director of Grasim Industries Ltd., IDBI Capital Market Services Limited; and Apar Industries Limited.

Cyril was admitted to the Bar in 1982 after receiving his BA., and LLB degrees from the Government Law College, Mumbai. He is a Solicitor, the High Court of Bombay, since 1983.
