Ashwin Bajaj

Ashwin Bajaj heads Investor Relations for the JSW Group, one of India’s largest industrial groups. The group’s flagship company is JSW Steel, one of the most efficient steel producers globally. He also heads Academic Relations for the group, wherein he manages JSW’s sponsorships and partnerships with leading educational institutions, including the JSW School of Public Policy at IIM Ahmedabad and Krea University. 

Ashwin has over 20 years of experience in the areas of equity and credit Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Sustainability & Governance, M&A, and Strategy. Ashwin has worked with C-suite members across various industry sectors in India, USA and UK.

He worked in the US at General Motors in their Treasurer’s Office in New York, and GMAC Financial Services (now Ally Financial), one of the world’s largest NBFC’s. He was then global Head of Investor Relations for Vedanta (listings in UK, US and India), and Head of Investor Relations for the Energy vertical of the Adani Group, comprising three listed companies.

Ashwin has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Strategy from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
